We have plans to update the fireplace this fall in phase two.
One of the reasons we loved this house was that it has a separate area for a library/music room. In this room, we removed the flooring, popcorn ceilings and shutters and added a dramatic wallpaper, wainscoting and built in bookshelves.
The primary bathroom was also high on our priority list. It was quite dated and didn’t function well for us.
We removed the garden tub and enclosed shower room to make space for a larger walk in shower with glass enclosure and claw foot soaking tub.
We decreased the size of the vanity to add extra space to the shower.
The guest bathroom is pretty small so we had to make every inch count.
We removed the bulky vanity and replaced it with a console vanity which makes the space feel more open.
For additional storage we added a wall mounted towel rack and slim cabinet on the opposite wall.
In phase two we have plans for some updating on the exterior landscaping, an outdoor kitchen and fireplace.
